The year of the Rabbit begins February 3, 2011.

A friend in California shared this link on Facebook   Year of the Rabbit Predictions which says:

“The Year of the Metal Rabbit Begins  Feb 3, 2011″

I wonder though why “Metal” Rabbits?  My photo is of metal hares.  The statue in Ballantrae is bronze isn’t it?

The Astrology website  site also says:

“Rabbits, you may remember, are sometimes called Cats.”

I don’t remember.  Rabbits are rodents and cats eat rodents or at least kill them.  I like that this is the year of the rabbit though since this site says “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” the first of each month.  It will make March, April, May etc. special  unless I forget it is the Year of the Rabbit.  Which could happen.

I tried to read my Chinese Horoscope on the astrology site Cheryl Johnson shared on Facebook but it says:

You scorn society’s niceties and… “Read more”

The “Read More” is a link then wants me to provide a credit card to know the rest of the story.  Oh well…

What’s your sign?

I digress … The Year of the Rabbit is supposed to be a more easy going year for all of us than 2010…  calmer.  Happy Chinese New Year!   Our February 3, 2011 – January 22, 2012 is this year which is 4709?
