Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit – March 2013

“rabbit, rabbit, rabbit”

Three Hares sculpture, Dublin Ohio

Saying “rabbit, rabbit, rabbit” the first thing each month is a habit.  Saying “rabbit, rabbit, rabbit” brings good luck.  Or that’s the superstition.

The sculpture  pictured is in Dublin, Ohio.  I took the photo of the sculpture at Ballantrae many years ago.  It was such luck that a person and a bike were in the shot to show the scale of the three hares in the sculpture, BIG HARE.

March Hares?

In ‘Through the Looking-Glass’ Alice said:

“The March Hare will be much the most interesting, and perhaps as this is May it won’t be raving mad — at least not so mad as it was in March.”

Happy March! Happy Spring!  Happy Easter!   Easter is Sunday, March 31, 2013.

March 1, 2013

If today was NOT March 1, 2013 you probably would be reading about a thing to do in Columbus, Ohio because there are some big events going on now.  The Arnold Sports Festival is this weekend.  The 2013 Columbus Dispatch Home & Garden Show runs through Sunday.  Maybe since March 1, 2013 is a Friday, you would be reading a third post about fish fries at central Ohio Catholic Parishes and not a “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” post.

Confession time…

Friday Fish Fry: A Pescatarian Poll

There is a poll but it was never published.   I thought I was a “PESCATARIAN.” I mentioned “pescatarian” in an earlier post.  I got the word “pescatarian” from a central Ohio site about eating fish on Friday.  I thought since I eat fish, I was a pescatarian but I am NOT a pescatarian.  If I was a pescatarian I would be a vegetarian who eats fish. The PollDaddy.com poll which I never posted would have only been of people who eat fish and vegetables but not beef, chicken and pork.  Pescatarian I would not eat meat.  I am a carnivore who eats fish.  I am not sure if there is a word for that.  Normal?   I eat beef, chicken and pork…. occasionally some lamb but no rabbit.
