Happy National Grammar Day Columbus!

by Maureen McCabe on March 4, 2012

Here’s a local example of grammar correction. At the  gas station on the corner of Lazelle and Sancus on the far north-side of Columbus.  Just inside Franklin County someone’s been correcting grammar at gas pumps.

I saw a correction on pump #4 weeks ago and documented it on my Posterous site, Columbus Life. Yesterday I stopped and used pump #7. Corrected. I peeked in back and  someone  corrected pump#8 too.   Owner? A lone crusader for better grammar? A group effort? Who is using a black marker to correct the double negative?  I would never correct grammar with graffiti because two wrongs don’t make a right.

Someone corrected pump #6 with a red marker.

Happy National Grammar Day  there’s a song and everything.

I have grammar check here…  it finds fault with me constantly. I often ignore it.  Today I fixed things in honor of National Grammar Day.
