the best part… swim

Nablopomo July 2011
July Nablopomo

I did Nablopomo in May.  Kinda.  I tried.  I believe I  messed up 3 times in 31 days.  The days without “Nablopomo prompts” were tough for me.   The first Saturday I tried to use Posterous to post a photo from German Village.  It did not show until after midnight.

I dreamed I posted “You are my sunshine” but I was just dreaming.  When I woke up later I hoped it had not been a dream but it was just a blogging dream.

The third strike… I think was again a weekend and I relied on and it did not work.

I don’t particularly like the Nablopomo prompts.   The Nablopomo daily prompts in May and other months I’ve done it are sometimes too personal for me too.   The idea of Nablopomo (National Blog Posting Month) is to post daily.  I may ignore prompts. Or not.  The July prompts have to do with “swim.”

The theme for May was “Maybe…”   June Nablopomo which I did not do was “Fans.”  I loved the fan badge… did not pay any attention to the prompts.

The prompt on Friday, July 1, 2011… while was saying “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” out of sheer habit.  Well I guess also for good luck… the Friday Nablopomo prompt was “where would you like to swim?”

hmmmmm.   Not sure I have an urge to swim anywhere.  Maybe it’s just an aversion to putting on a swimming suit.

I read something on Friday from Amy Turn Sharp and there was swimming. Amy wrote If you cut me in two you could always have the best part. My columbus Daily ( small  c in city name ) featured, ‘If you cut me in two you could always have the best part.’

Well I am trying again… July Nablopomo and it is “Swim.”

So, does that mean there will be a swimming-related prompt every day?

Only one prompt so far…and it was literally about swim but I think some will be more abstract. I hope. They do not do prompts on weekends. I thought that weekeds would out work fine but in May, two out of three of my strikes were weekends.

I started doing Nablopomo before and stopped because the personal prompts don’t really fit with my blog… which although it is NOT a real estate blog, has real estate on it.

Columbus is not the swim capital of the world….

Thanks for the comment.
