Let me apologize right now… this has absolutely nothing to do with Columbus. This is a McDonald’s in Cary, North Carolina… being demolished. The McDonald’s is being torn down to be rebuilt as a GREEN McDonald’s. Is GREEN McDonald’s a McDonald’s with Shamrock Shakes year round? Does McDonald’s even have Shamrock Shakes anymore?
In the time lapse photography shared on Youtube via mtmcloone the piece of machinery plays the part of Godzilla.
Relocating to Cary or nearby? Cary North Carolina is in the Raleigh North Carolina area…. Look up Craig Rutman. Craig’s got to be fun to work with if his Craig’s Blog is any indication.

Hmmm. I have to wonder – how “green” is it to demolish something already in place? What are they going to do with the “ungreen” McDonalds?
Yes, they DO have Shamrock Shakes, but only in March, and only until they run out of however much they ordered. Some McD’s order a LOT and some order only a little.
I don’t like the concept of mint ice cream or ice cream creations… never have. Although as a teenager my introduction to Grasshoppers a green alcoholic beverage was enlightening. In college (drinking age was 18) we added whisky or something to Shamrock shakes and for me that made it palatable.
I think green drinks and ice cream make me think of eating toothpaste which a friend and I did in 5th or 6th grade. It was Ultra Bright which I believe was white toothpaste but too much minty fresh makes me gag and looking at a Shamrock shake makes me remember…
Sorry to be so wordy about why I don’t know if there is such a thing as Sharmrock Shakes.
I don’t know that demolition of current McD’s is green but I love the video. Thanks for the comment.
