Happy New Year Columbus

by Maureen McCabe on January 1, 2007

2007 Logo Happy New Year.  I think I started another blog on New Years Day 2006 and abandoned it shorly after.  I started another blog about a week later.  I did go back to my blog on RealTown Blogs.    I guess that blog will become The Original Columbus Best Blog, or Columbus Best Blog – the original… or maybe I will change the name to Columbus Ohio Real Estate if that is not taken.

With my Active Rain Blog I am going to be triblogular… well there are five if you count those two… but I have not blogged on them since January 2006.

Tri-blogular! That sounds like a syndrome. Seek treatment.

I got to leave the first comment on the NEW CBB! You’ve been found.

You are so smart! keep it a secret for now. I need to get some images on here and a couple more entries and the company logo, and my little R and my little EO housing house…

I think they use medication to control triblogular now. It’s not like in the old days. Thanks for the first comment. I could go niche blog and just allow comments from bloggers named Maureen? Nah. I want Columbusites whatever their names are as long as they are not spammers, bots or blog hijackers. Or lions, tigers or bears.

Triblogular huh? That’s a great coinage. That’s a blogoholic to the third degree. And I got to leave the 3rd comment.

shhhh! Joseph. It is a secret for a few more days. The third comment on my third blog on the third of the month. Thanks for stopping by.

Hey there Maureen, what a great idea! I have three blogs now, but only one that I post to regularly – http://sunnyspot.wordpress.com, another I use for specialized real estate information for seniors – http://beyond50.wordpress.com (I haven’t been posting as often on this one because it is so specialized), and another that is still being developed and has not one single post yet (almost triblogular!). I sometimes want to post something fun (or serious, political, interesting) that has nothing to do with real estate, but that dilutes the message for the s. engines. Maybe one day I’ll have my act together enough that I can have a blog for my other interests too. I’ll be sure to stop by regularly to read you. Here’s wishing my fellow sellsius TOP TEN blogger a very successful and happy 2007! Thank you for placing me in your blogroll too.

If you want to keep a secret, don’t do a blogroll! You gave us all incoming links… Your secret is out for anyone who looks at their c-panel.

I’m new to that part of it. Duh. That never crossed my mind and that was so easy. How the heck do I get an image on the right hand column below my blog roll… I need the company logo there…. I will be whining at you, Jay Thompson, Toby Boyce, etc. anyone with a WordPRess Blog to HELP!

C panel, slug, parent… WordPress has a whole new vocabulary…

It is a local secret… It’s was an Ohio kind of thing but there was a name change on the RT Blog… but there could be another too…

Get the sidebar widget. That will help you modify your sidebar more easily. Kinda. Nothing’s easy.

You should also find a contact page plug-in.

Don’t ask me what a slug is, I don’t know.

Cool feature: Setting posts to publish at some time in the future. Use edit timestamp. That keeps my posts rolling out at a regular basis (nightly) instead of when I have the urge to post.

dustin, gregg and jay have all done posts about the plug-ins they use. That is how I found some of the ones I use.

Thanks I will have to look… at their blogs and start reading again. “Cool feature: Setting posts to publish at some time in the future. Use edit timestamp. That keeps my posts rolling out at a regular basis (nightly) instead of when I have the urge to post.” we have that on RT blogs… I have used that a lot… Lots of work to do here…like setting the clock so comments won’t be in the future.

Maggie,

For some reason your comment required moderation but the others have not. I really am not ready for WordPress… I could see your comment earlier but…oh well, thanks for the comment. I will figure this out soon, I hope.

It is always nice to bump into one of Sellsius’s Top Ten Women Real Estate Bloggers.

Maureen
