Columbus is not on Santa’s favorite city list?

Hanby House Westerville Ohio

Say it isn’t so?  Who says so?  Zillow.  More skewed data from ?

Zillow does home values.  Zillow Zestimates.  Now the Zillow Blog claims to know what Santa’s favorite US cities are and they say

“none of Santa’s favorite cities are located east of the Mississippi.”

How’s  Zillow’s value on your home accurate?  Who knows?  Until you sell it no one knows how accurate or inaccurate Zillow’s Zestimates are… but this may be going too far. Zillow’s blog says:

According to Zillow’s analysis, Santa’s favorite city is Colorado Springs, CO followed by Wichita, KS and Los Angeles, CA. Regionally, five of the top 10 cities are located in the West and three are in the South. Due to heavy precipitation and a scarcity of fireplaces in high-density cities such as New York and Boston, none of Santa’s favorite cities are located east of the Mississippi.

OK high rises in NYC and Boston don’t have chimneys and fireplaces… but plenty of Ohio homes do.  And Columbus is not high density like Boston or New York… The criteria Zillow used?   Fireplaces, single story homes, large lots (large lot = large roofs for room for a sleigh and eight reindeer. ) I don’t get what single story homes have to do with Santa’s favorite cities.

“Up on a House Top”  was written by Benjamin Hanby  a native of Westerville Ohio, a Columbus suburb.    Surely this is one of Santa’s favorite tunes.
