Columbus Board of REALTORS MLS on 2012

by Maureen McCabe on January 23, 2013

Downtown Columbus, Ohio The Columbus Board of REALTORS released the official word on the 2012 real estate market in central Ohio, yesterday. They (CBR) reported to members and the  media about the December real estate market and 2012 results for the Columbus Board of REALTORS mls (multiple listing service.)

“Central Ohio saw 22,915 single-family and condominium home sales in 2012, up 15.5 percent from the previous year according to the Columbus Board of REATORS®. This marks the highest number of residential home sales since 2007 – the end of the housing boom.”

The Columbus Dispatch and Columbus Business First and other publications have articles about the December “official” news from the Columbus Board of REALTORS .  I  like to see how the media interprets the news.

This is the first month of 2013 Columbus Board of REALTORS President Chris Pedon being the VOICE of the ‘Voice of Real Estate in Central Ohio.’  Chris Pedon is with HER Realtors.

The Columbus Board of REALTORS mls is lots of counties, geographically:

  •     All of Franklin County
  •     All of  Delaware County
  •     All of  Fayette County
  •     All of Licking County
  •     All of  Madison County
  •     All of  Morrow County
  •     All of Pickaway County
  •     All of Union County

“and parts of Athens, Champaign, Clark, Clinton, Fairfield, Hocking, Knox, Logan, Marion, Muskingum, Perry and Ross Counties.”

Personally I only pay attention to pieces of northern Franklin and southern Delaware County and now Union County as a real estate agent with HER Realtors.

2012 based on the official word from the Columbus Board of REALTORS:

The WORD from the Columbus Board of REALTORS: Quickly  had advice  from the 2012 President of the Columbus Board of REALTORS:

“However, with fewer homes on the market, and those homes selling more quickly, buyers shouldn’t wait too long to make an offer, because they may lose out on getting the house they want.”
