leavesHere’s the Habitat Hollow Green Gardening Calendar for September   from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

It is hard to believe the leaves are going to be changing and autumn is on it’s way.

Making birdhouses from gourds is the activity for Columbus kids on the September Green Gardening Calendar from Habitat Hollow at the Columbus Zoo.

Cleaning out my mailbox (email) I found an email from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, a mass birth announcement:

“POWELL, Ohio – Since the beginning of June the Columbus Zoo has been experiencing a baby boom with the births a tufted deer, a silvered leaf monkey, a black and white colobus monkey and the hatching of two flamingos. “

It was not in my mailbox but a week or so…

Breaking news via email…  far from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium but totally related:

“Help mountain gorillas!

Partners In Conservation (PIC) is hosting an online auction to support their efforts to not only protect the endangered mountain gorillas but also respectfully assist humanitarian projects in Rwanda. With items ranging from a Behind the Scenes tour of the Zoo where you’ll meet Jack Hanna, to Ohio State Basketball tickets, to authentic Rwandan artisan works, this auction is jam-packed  with items only the Zoo could deliver.
