Columbus BEST movie theater

by Maureen McCabe on July 16, 2010

Columbus BEST movie theater or is it a theatre?

Arena Grand, Drexel and Grandview are  “Theatres”

Where is your favorite Columbus place for movies?   I did not put places like Cinemark Movies 12  at Carriage Place on my poll …even though Carriage Place (Northwest Columbus, corner of Sawmill Rd. and Bethel Rd.)  was the last place I saw a movie.    The Screens at the Continent (Busch Blvd.) is not on the poll either.  But if either  is YOUR favorite place to go to a movie use Other…  Is Mill Run NOT first run movies anymore?  It has been awhile since I went to Mill Run, but I see the name is “Movie Tavern 12 – Mill Run”  now…  is the movie theater at Mill Run  like a ‘Screens at the Continent’ now?  Dirt cheap movies and not so hot food?  I love Screens at the Continent…  if they have something I want to see… is Hollywood Studio Theatre in Westerville first run movies? Is that the old theater (1970s?) on Westerville Rd. in Blendon Township? OK it’s a poll:

I decided not to put Studio 35, Drexel, Grandview on… I tried to make this poll multi screen movie theaters in Central Ohio.. How many screens at Gateway?

Don’t see your favorite there? Or really, really love a smaller theater or a cheaper theater? Use “Other” to vote for your favorite.

Or would you rather watch movies at home?

The Gateway has 8 or so screens. It’s my favorite because there’s never anyone there. I don’t understand how that place stays afloat, but as long as they do it’s awesome having what effectively amount to private screening rooms.
