From Luke Mullins… first quarter US Home Foreclosures.
The great news is Ohio is NOT on the list of the top 10 states for home foreclosures in the first quarter of 2009.
“Which states had the highest foreclosure rates in the first quarter?
1. Nevada: 1 in 27 homes
2. Arizona: 1 in 54 homes
3. California: 1 in 58 homes
4. Florida: 1 in 73 homes
5. Illinois: 1 in 135 homes
6. Michigan: 1 in 136 homes
7. Georgia: 1 in 138 homes
8. Idaho: 1 in 147 homes
9. Utah: 1 in 151 homes
10. Oregon: 1 in 153 homes’
I saw it in US News and World Reports on Thursday… and today on Trulia via Twitter. The scoop is from Realty Trac, of course, keeper of all data for foreclosures. For the whole story go to The Top Ten Foreclosure States as of the First Quarter.
Clicking through to RealtyTrac (you can too) Ohio… Central Ohio, Columbus, the far north suburbs… Worthington area there are foreclosures and “pre foreclosures” …
Foreclosures nationally were up 9% from the 4th quarter of 2008 and 24% in comparison to the first quarter of 2008.
