Ohio Celebrates Arbor Day

Tree Cities in Ohio: 249

Worthington is a Tree City, Westerville is a Tree City… surely Dublin is…

Arbor Day in Ohio this year is Friday April 24, 2009.

Did you know different states have Arbor Day on different day… California’s was in March,  Alabama’s in February, West Virginia had Arbor Day the third Friday of April…. Ohio along with Indiana, MN, PA, VA, WI celebrate it the third fourth Friday of April.    I forgot to check Michigan. Oh well.

I wonder if it has to do with when trees bloom…

Or is just arbitrary.

Worthington’s had their Arbor Day flags up for awhile now.

As both an Arbour (my real last name), and a resident of the City Worthington, I must say, great post.

That deserves a place on my Ohio blog roll. I don’t think I’d paid attention to your last name.

Celebrate Arbor Day!
