Columbus yard waste “pickup” is the hot topic on this site now… even though the last mention of yard waste pickup was long ago and the mention was of yard waste pickup was about it going away in 2009. Or charges for yard waste pick-up for City of Columbus residents. Most did not do that?

My husband and I paid (it was relatively inexpensive), but we didn’t actually put out our yard waste very often. I just liked knowing I could if I wanted to.
I understand not that many did pay for it last year.
Not sure why but I have a comment TODAY on the post from April 2009, about the 2009 changes saying:
“I’m confused. After just getting off the phone with Rumpke and the City of Columbus, I have received the opposite information from both of them. According to both sources, the city is picking up the tab for yard waste pick-up and you don’t need to do anything to enroll. Can someone clarify this?”
That was 2009… this is 2010.
