Rivage Atlantique – Worthington

Rivage Atlantique is a newer restaurant in Worthington.   The specialty of Rivage Atlantique is seafood.  So, yesterday,  Tuesday was turf…here.  Turf as in land dwelling animals.  Eat beef?  Or eat chicken? Depending  on how you look at Cow Appreciation Day’, which is Friday, July 8, 2011 at least according to a fast food restaurant.

I should really not mention fast food in the same post as the food at Rivage Atlantique.  I was impressed.  It was good.  I could really appreciate the seafood at Rivage.

The Worthington restaurant’s website says

“Chef Rich Flagg brings 15 yrs of experience as an Executive Chef specializing in the seafood of traditional New England dishes and Carolina’s Low Country.”

The restaurant in Old Worthington opened earlier this year. Rivage Atlantique is located at 652 High St. Worthington, Ohio 43085 .  We visited in late June 2011 for lunch on a Sunday afternoon.

I had the scallops.  They were fantastic.  I tried sharing a photo of the lovely scallops here as well but made a big mess out of this.  Not enough words.  Too many images.

He had the Maine Lobster Bisque and the shrimp…

The prompt for July Nablopomo (writing a blog post every day) is “What kind of fish are you most like?”

July NablopomoWhat fish are you most like?”

I am not like a fish as far as I know.  I do like most fish though.  I liked everything I tried at Rivage Atlantique.  I really wanted to try the shrimp and grits, but it was not on the menu the day we ate at Rivage Atlantique.

I hope to go back to Rivage Atlantique again soon.
