Tomorrow is opening day for Dewey’s Pizza in Worthington. Saturday morning when I was at the Worthington Farmers Market they were still working on patio at Dewey’s.
I got to go to the Dewey’s Pizza in Worthington last week. “Dewey‘s Pizza would like to invite you to our Friends & Family practice seating”
I did NOT get to eat pizza at Dewey’s Pizza but that is another story.
I ate a salad at Dewey’s Pizza. The Greek Salad was good. I got a dinner sized salad with chicken on it for lunch on Friday. I brought three pizza eaters with me… they tried four of the pizza’s between the three of them…
- Bronx Bomber
- Green Lantern
I am NOT a food blogger. A food blogger would have taken a photo of the food before it was half eaten. I don’t think there is any Green Lantern there in the photo. The green lantern is a veggie pizza. There’s no photo of my salad and the presentation was very nice. There was no photo of the desert…
The pizza crust at Dewey’s Pizza is a soft crust from what my three pizza eaters told me. It was a thin crust but not a crisp crust was the gist of what I understood from the most eloquent of the three pizza eaters.
Details on each pizza are on the menu on the Dewey’s Pizza website. The four pizza’s my three pizza eater’s ordered were all specialty pizzas. I was surprised my real pizza eater did NOT do a Create Your Own and do his usual, a cheese, peperoni and onion pizza as he is kind of a traditionalist.
My three pizza eaters also ate side salads…
- Candied Walnut & Grape
A photo of Dewey’s Pizza in Worthington while it was under construction shows the Dewey’s Pizza menu in the window. This photo was taken in Early August.
Friday (and earlier in the week ) was practice at Dewey’s Pizza… Our waitresses were very, very good, we actually ended up having two or three take care of us… and a guy too. We had to quiz the servers on the sauces… and whether we could order more than one sauce on a pizza. We had to ask whether we could order the white sauce with out garlic.
The Dewey’s Pizza in Worthington is the second Dewey’s Pizza in central Ohio. If you go Dewey’s Pizza is at 640 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Their phone number according to the Dewey’s website is (614) 985-3333. Their location on the southeast corner of High Street and New England Avenue has been a BP gas station for years… before that it was a Sohio station. The BP Station was razed. The brick building on the corner of New England Avenue and High Street is all new, clean and shiny. The huge outside patio at Dewey’s Pizza looks welcoming… Saturday there were men working on the furthest east pergola and there was more furniture on the patio.
Monday, August 26, 2013 is opening day at Dewey’s Pizza in Worthington.
