I haven’t found a good Philly Cheese Steak since I left Chicago. Can’t remember the name of the little restaurant there which served them . . . maybe George’s. I’m sure it’s long gone now, but they were Greek owners and the Philly Cheese was awesome!

Rob and Brian don’t have to even know that more Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches come from Columbus than come from Philly…. we’ll keep it a secret. I don’t think I have ever had one… from anywhere.

I had chicken Sandwiches at Steak Escape long ago. I had no idea it was a chain out of Columbus.

We visited Gino’s when we were in Philly last month. And I am willing to say that Brian and Rob do have a good gripe. While Gino’s didn’t live up to the “hype” it was still a great sandwich – better than any I’ve ever had at the chains. Will reserve to comment on Benny’s until I can sample their sandwich.

I am sure they started in Philly and are wonderful there in the local shops.

I would bet Brian Brady and Rob Robinson ( I think they were both raised in Philadelphia PA) would find this entry and the idea blasphemy.

OSU’s business incubator just seems to have been used to start the big Philly Cheesesteak chains (I am not sure about this newest restaurant.)
