Columbus Choices: Today is National Hamburger Day…

by Maureen McCabe on July 28, 2010

This morning @Foodimentary tweeted:   Foodimentary Choices Choices…July 28 is National Milk Chocolate Day AND National Hamburger Day. #TodayNFood

National Hamburger Day is probably not the best day to go to the Thurman Cafe for lunch… Often aknowledged as the BEST burgers in Central Ohio.  What other choices do you have in burgers?

Happy National Hamburger Day to Wendy’s International, Max and Erma’s  and White Castle.  Their burgers are rooted in Central Ohio.

This is part of ’365 Things to do in Columbus Ohio.’   Visit ’365 Things to do in Columbus Ohio’ on Facebook if you have an  event,  restaurant or place you want other Central Ohioans to know about.  hmmmm National Milk Chocolate Day too…  maybe I will just celebrate that…  where would you choose to celebrate milk chocolate in Central Ohio?

O’Reilly’s in Clintonville and Johnnie’s Tavern in San Margherita both have excellent burgers. I’ve never much been a fan of Thurman’s: They’re big and covered in toppings, but the patty itself is kind of weak.

I can not remember Thurman… it was years ago. I have been to O’Reilly’s but again it’s been years.
