This weekend there are parish festivals at St. Matthew in Gahanna (Thursday through Saturday) and Our Lady of Peace (Friday and Saturday) in the Clintonville Beechwold area.

Next week is Restaurant Week… It seems like there are lots of restaurant weeks. One a month?

This is Summer Sale weekend in the Short North. Saturday is the Super Sidewalk Sale from 9 to 2.

Hi, Maureen.
I visited the 2012 Ohio State Fair on its first day yesterday afternoon. It’s my first time to visit and I spent a good time exploring the crafts and creative arts pavilions. The people I spoke with were very friendly and enthusiastic about their work. I also dropped by the livestock exhibits and events, as well as the Civil War camp.

There’s obviously a lot to see (and eat!); I probably got through only a third of the Fair. I plan to return there again.

Great photos. I shared them on the 365 Things to do in Columbus, Ohio page on Facebook. Yesterday was a much better day than today to be at the fair, although it is looking like people are headed back out after the rain, wind and lightening today.
I hope your part of town did not have any damage this storm.
I hope to get out to the Ohio State Fair on a cool day next week.
