Dominion Homes - BIA Parade of Homes

This 365 Things to do in Columbus Ohio, post is dominated by the 2012 BIA Parade of Homes which starts Saturday, June 16.  The two-week long event (three weekends) has special events… and 12 beautiful houses to tour.

Meadows at Lewis Center  -  The Northwest corner of  Lewis Center Road and S. Old State Rd.

June 15th  is the Preview Party.  The event is  6:00 to 10:00 p.m.  Tickets are still available.  Officially it is the BIA/First Federal Lending Preview Party

June 16th and 17thin honor of  Father’s Day there is a “Classic Car Display.”

June 18th  is  REALTOR Day.   This is a day for members of the Columbus Board of REALTORS to attend.  I am a REALTOR.   It’s REALTOR morning, we’ll be out of there by early afternoon.

 

June 18th  Mary Cook -  The BIA Parade of Homes says: “See Why Design Matters with Mary Cook and Robert Schottenstein”  6:00 p.m.

 

June 20th is  Seniors Day.  All guests, 55 or older, receive a $3-off admission discount with proper I.D.  There is a special 920AM WMNI event from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Is the 2012 BIA Parade of Homes the only thing to do in Columbus?
Is the Parade of Homes the only thing to do in Columbus this week?  There are other things to do if new homes, old cars and decorating, decorating, decorating and more decorating are not your thing. Or maybe design is a better word than decorating.
There’s a Blues  and Jazz Festival this weekend.  Picnic with the Pops is opening at Columbus Commons this weekend. Another real estate event… Sunday, June 17th is an affordable housing open house.  Super Sunday   If you are looking for a home priced $150,000 or under, there will be open houses, 1:00 to 4:00.  Lots of them!

There are the usual Farmer’s Markets this weekend too, including Worthington and Clintonville.  A Sunday event from the people who bring you the Clintonville Farmers’ Market?  A farm tour:

“1st farm tour for Clintonville Farmers’ Market producers: this Sunday, June 17th, at Swainway Urban Farm, 285 Canyon Drive in Clintonville, 43214, 2-4pm. See you there!”

A farm in Clintonville?  Yes in Clintonville, it’s an “Urban Farm”

The home pictured at the top is the Dominion Home Model at the 2012 BIA Parade of Homes.  The backyard is the Miller Troyer entry at the 2012 Parade of  Homes.  I do not have either home listed.    There are homes for sale in Meadows at Lewis Center. Did I mention I am a real estate agent?

The cute red Thunderbird was at a car show in Clintonville a couple of years ago.   I do not have it….
