Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit – September 2012

by Maureen McCabe on September 1, 2012

“Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit! ” It’s a just superstition. It is good luck to say “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” the first thing each month, so ColumbusBestBlog.com tries to.

Buns of Fun Rabbitry

I ran into a business called “Buns of Fun Rabbitry” at an event in August.   The event was St. Paul’s Parish Picnic, an incredibly inexpensive way to spend a Sunday  afternoon with children.  Bouncy houses, a climbing wall, games, prizes, balloon animals and more.  This year the  and more included “Buns of Fun Rabbitry.”

Rabbitry?    A definition of rabbitry I found online said ” a place where domestic rabbits are kept; also : a rabbit-raising enterprise “

For one ticket (25 cents)  children could hold a rabbit on their lap.

I wish I could read the card on the ‘Buns of Fun Rabbitry’ photo.   I believe the owner of the “rabbitry” or rabbit-raising enterprise is a girl from Hilliard.  She was wearing a Hilliard 4 H shirt and she said she had more rabbits at home.   The children had towels on their laps and sat in camp chairs provided for the experience.  The young business owner then put a rabbit in the customer’s  lap.

This spotted bunny is  Buffy.  Buffy was incredibly soft to hands old and young. Buffy the bunny from Buns of Fun Rabbitry  I could not resist touching Buffy myself.

Have a great September! Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit!
