Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit – October 2010

by Maureen McCabe on October 1, 2010

Columbus Italian Festival October 2010How do you say Rabbit in Italian?  “Coniglio?”  ColumbusBestBlog.com says “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” the first thing each month for luck.  In honor of next weekend’s Columbus Italian Festival, ColumbusBestBlog is going to say “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” in Italian this month.

“Coniglio, Coniglio, Coniglio”

ColumbusBestBlog coulda said,  shoulda said “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit”  in German  for September in honor of Oktoberfest.  I think perhaps it did one year.  Or is the word I know for “rabbit” a rabbit dish?  Hasenfeffer? Hasenpheffer?   Something like that.

Every year October is a big month for things to do in Central Ohio.  This year is no exception.  One of my favorite events is the Italian Festival.  It is part of the Experience Columbus weekend in Central Ohio.

This weekend is the kick off for Dublin’s bicentennial celebration.  Saturday is Dublin Heritage Day.   Worthington has the Fido Fest this  Sunday.   On the Worthington Village Green and downtown Worthington.  Saturday is the Gallery Hop in the Short North.  With the High Ball Halloween coming up the October 2010  Gallery Hop will have a special flavor.

Next weekend is Experience Columbus Days Friday through Monday because Monday October 11, 2010 is Columbus Day!   Columbus does a good job of celebrating Columbus Day.  The Columbus Italian Festival at St. John the Baptist in Italian Village is part of Experience Columbus.

Then we move on to celebrating Halloween in Central Ohio, with ghost tours, beggars night,  High Ball in the Short North and more.

If you have something you want people to know about in Central Ohio in October 2010  add it to ’365 Things to do in Columbus Ohio’ page on Facebook.  Events, places, fund raisers (haunted houses, Halloween parties, businesses, restaurants.)

As always the Experience Columbus site is the best place to look for details on what is going on in  Central Ohio.  October 2010 is no exception.  Best wishes for a lucky and fun filled October

“Coniglio, Coniglio, Coniglio Columbus Ohio!”
