Garage Sale Weekend in Central Ohio

by Maureen McCabe on May 18, 2012

It’s a big garage sale / sidewalk sale / yard sale weekend in central Ohio.  This photo is for a neighborhood garage sale in Lewis Center (Orange Township in southern Delaware County) today and Saturday. This sign  is in The Shores, east side of  S. Old State R

The Shore garage sale sigm

The Shores Garage Sale 2012

oad just south of Lewis Center Road if you know your Delaware County geography.  I saw another sign in Alum Crossing for  a “Community Yard Sale” today, Friday 9 to 3.  The Alum Crossing  subdivision is off S. Old  State on the east side, south of Lewis Center Road and north of Orange Road.

It’s Village Valuables in German Village tomorrow, Saturday.  That would be a sidewalk sale wouldn’t it?

I am not a big garage sale / yard sale person. I had one in my life.  It was in November and it was cold and rainy.  Columbus weather is beautiful, warm and sunny this weekend?  Or those having or attending garage sales have to hope so.

I love reading about garage sales, especially community ones.

Wanted to pass along that our Columbus company, NeedNexus offers free garage sale listings on our web site.

Simply go to http://neednexus.com/Buyer/PostNeed.aspx and post your listing under products.

Careful Chris, you wouldn’t want to look like a comment spammer would you?? Your site looks interesting. Perhaps I should do a post about it?

Thanks for the words of caution.

Last thing I want to be is a spammer :)

Just wanted to share a free service.

I (and thousands of others in central Ohio) offer a free service to search for homes for sale on our real estate websites. I may be wrong but I would bet if I commented with a link to that free service on most sites, the writer and readers would feel as if I was spamming in the comment.

How does this look?

“Wanted to pass along that my Columbus real estate , site offers free real estate search listings on my web site.

Simply go to http://search.MaureenMcCabe.com and search for homes.”

I doubt that would be welcome on other sites even if the site mentions homes? Real estate? etc.

Your name is already a link to your site in the comment. The second link made my spam filter inquire if I wanted SPAM the comment. I did turn off my “Do Follow” in comments because of aggressive spammers recently. My site uses CommentLuv which gives another link to bloggers if they want it.
