Experience Columbus Days is October 5 to 8, 2012
The Columbus Day weekend in Columbus, Ohio has been Experience Columbus Days for several years… this year, the 200th Birthday of Columbus, Ohio is no different. Or maybe 2012 is different.
There are things going on lots of things coincide with Experience Columbus Days, the Columbus Day weekend in Columbus, Ohio in 2012.

Love a Parade?
A hint for anyone visiting Columbus this weekend: There is no downtown Columbus parade on Columbus Day. Many people who work in downtown Columbus are off on Monday. Need a parade to make your weekend complete? Go to the Columbus Italian Festival on Sunday (or Friday, Saturday, Sunday.) The Columbus Italian Parade is Sunday, October 7th, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. according to the Columbus Italian Festival site (link below.) Dom Tiberi of Channel 10 is the Grand Marshall of the 2012 Columbus Italian Festival.
The Columbus Italian Festival in Italian Village is one of my favorite things to do the first weekend in October. Columbus Italian Festival is October 5 to 7, 2012.
According to the ExperienceColumbUS.com site the hours of the Columbus Italian Festival are:
“Friday 5-11 p.m. Saturday noon-11 p.m. Sunday 11 a.m.-8 p.m.”
The Columbus Italian Festival is a bargain, again according to ExperienceColumbUS.com admission for adults is only $5 and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult. The Columbus Italian Festival is at St. John the Baptist, Italian Catholic Church at 720 Hamlet St., Columbus, Ohio 43215.
The casino on the west-side of Columbus is opening … Columbus Day 2012 Monday, October 8, 2012. Like it or not the casino opening is a historic event for Columbus, Ohio.
Be sure to visit the Experience Columbus Days link on the ExperienceColumbus.com site for the discount flyer for places like the Columbus Museum of Art, Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, COSI, Franklin Park Conservatory, the Santa Maria and many, many more.
