There is a historical marker at 286 E. Main St. – Remarkable Ohio tells all about the Ohio Historical market and the history of the creation of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. According to that site veterans of the Spanish American War who met at a barbershop in 1899 formed a group that eventually became The Veterans of Foreign Wars, nationally.
Next Monday is the Memorial Day Parade in Worthington.
