Dogs in the City… and the suburbs

by Maureen McCabe on May 23, 2012

Dogs in Columbus and central Ohio…

‘Dogs in the City’ is a new reality TV show…  I assume the city is New York City.  I am not a fan of reality TV but I am tempted to watch it for the dogs.

I am a recently dogless dog lover.

That’s my boy!  Buddy.

The photo is on (my Worthington real estate site, links in the side bar of The photo is on the Worthington site in 2007 or 2008 on a post about what dog lovers our  Worthington real estate office was.  The photo is much older though, when Buddy was much younger.

Dogs in the City of Columbus and it’s suburbs…  The new dog park opens on Godown Road soon… the WOOF site says “Opening Date -  Late Spring 2012.”  It’s getting to be that time isn’t it?

The new park ‘Dog Park at Godown Park’ is how WOOF refers to it, is the combined effort of Columbus and Worthington and committed people in both cities. The land is in the City of Columbus.  The park is approximately.  Worthington says:

The dog park project is a partnership between the cities of Worthington and Columbus.  Considerable support and fund raising has been provided by Worthington Organized Off-leash Friends (W.O.O.F.).

The city of  Worthington site also says the park should open around Memorial Day:

“Dog park construction is expected to be completed by the end of the year with an anticipated opening around Memorial Day 2012.”
