Westerville new church

St Paul the Apostle Church, Westerville

A sneak peek inside the church in Westerville, Sunday morning.  Scheduled for completion in late June, the church has been under construction for over a year.   The first service in the new St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Westerville is the last Sunday of June 2011.

That looks like a beautiful church. It’s really cool that they can build during difficult economic times like these when so many non-profits are hurting for funds.

Rich thanks for stopping by. I believe the church raised 13 million dollars or are close to that now.   I grew up in a church that met in the YWCA and shunned ownership of a space of their own, instead giving money to the poor and using it for social justice causes, not that this church is not totally generous to others. The church I grew up in was a different focus in a different time (late in the age of hippies, 1970s.)   I sometimes wonder if they changed and built a church.  I know a few years ago I looked to see if it was still in existence.
