Chick-Fil-A will give you free food if you come in dressed as a cow on July 8, 2011. Friday? Cow Appreciation Day – Chick-Fil-A

There is a Chick-Fil-A in the Polaris area, on Sancus, just south of Polaris Parkway. Others?

Do you have a cow costume? I did when I was in college. Chick- fil- A has a cow costume kit on their site. What other cow appreciation options do you have in Columbus? There’s a Chick-fil-A Facebook page for Cow Appreciation Day.

Drive to 161 or Sawmill Road to gaze at the OSU cows? Do you prefer to gaze at beef cows or dairy cows? Pick your pasture accordingly. Another idea? Ice cream. July is also Ice cream month and ice cream is the thing that I most appreciate cows for. Justify a trip to Jeni’s, Greater’s, Denise’s…. Or is beef what’s for dinner on Cow Appreciation Day? Plan now.

What would you do to appreciate cows in Columbus?

Drive to 161 or Sawmill Road to gaze at the OSU cows? I was right on 161 in Linworth yesterday. I could have easily gone west for a little cow gazing. Another idea? Ice cream. July is also Ice Cream month and that is the thing that I most appreciate cows for. I coulda justified a trip to Jeni’s, Greater’s, Denise’s….

Thanks to Margaret Woda a real estate agent in the great state of Maryland, I know today is ‘stick out your tongue day.’ Sticking out your tongue? Might as well be Jeni’s, Graeter’s, Denice’s involved. Put Cow Appreciation Day 2011 on your calendar now! and may I wish you a belated Cow Appreciation Day…

Columbus Ohio home of the slow-speed cow chase or are the escaped cows moving fast? Have the two April 2010 cow chases in the City of Columbus been high-speed chases or slow-speed chases? Columbus media ought to be capitalizing on the cows running in the streets of Columbus to get more air time.

Doesn’t LA news break in on local TV when there are high-speed or slow-speed car chases on their streets?

Wait… is it “low-speed” or “slow speed?” Anyone know how fast cows run in Columbus? If we can determine the escaped cows can run fast we can resolve that issue with breaking news of high-speed cow chases on the streets of Columbus. The faster they run, the more exciting it could be anyway.

Yesterday two beef cattle were running around OSU… just a couple of weeks ago there was a pregnant cow loose at the 70 / 71 interchange… initial reports were “bull”, but the media covering that chase determined she was an expectant mama cow. Film clips, stories on all the local media.

Breaking news with Channel 4… Cabot? Channel 10 Andrea Cambern if she’s in the studio? Channel 6, the pretty girl? Columbus media is missing out an opportunity for face time. Details at 6:00.
Median home value saw a year-over-year increase of 2 percent and is now at $144,400 in Cow Town”

The Columbus Board of Realtors e-notes had a link to an article from Columbus Business First Zillow: Home values move toward stability in 3Q

Does the Columbus Business First refer to Columbus as “Cow Town.” The Columbus Business First article says:

“Zillow.com said that homes in the Columbus area were valued at a median $144,400 at the end of the third quarter, up 2 percent from last year and the second quarter. Central Ohio is one of 26 metropolitan areas out of 156 nationwide that saw a year-over-year gain in median home value.”

Turns out the Columbus Board of Realtors is calling Columbus Cow Town, I am sure in a most affectionate way.

It’s a good thing. Cows are nice.

More about Zillow.com a company that sets values on homes and people calling Columbus “Cow Town”

The National Association of Realtors announced a valuation system, RPR late last week. RPR (I’ve heard it call Reaper) will be valuation of property kinda like Zillow’s Zestimates, only different. I am not sure how different. Some have said “accurate.” Others say RPR will be just as inaccurate as Zestimates. Only time will tell.
