Worthington – the bus stopped there

by Maureen McCabe on July 14, 2007

BlogTour USA

I was so busy getting ready for BlogTour USA I’ve neglected this blog but will try to catch up.

The bus (RV) was here! They were at Goodale Park, they were at the North Market, they tried going to Real Living HER’s office on Nationwide Blvd but luckily someone sent them up to Worthington!

The BlogTour USA guys (Sellsius Real Estate Blog) were in Worthington at Real Living HER and then at Amanos (Worthington Mall) and then at Taste of Worthington… did they make it back to the North Market for the Wine Festival? Did they sleep in Upper Arlington? Worthington probably monopolized their time in Columbus!

BlogTour UAS is off to Ann Arbor today… the official itinerary says Detroit but they are meeting real estate bloggers Missy Caulk and Maureen Francis in Ann Arbor. Can you believe Columbus Ohio to Ann Arbor?

Or what?

Non real estate bloggers….Tina of Green Buckeye and a new blogger to me, Jonathan of DCS-Media were at the event in Worthington. Local real estate bloggers, Joe Peffer of Columbus Homes, Sondra Johnson of Columbus Real Estate Voice, Eric and Nikki Ransom of Real Estate Laundry, Elaine Reese of Reese’s Pieces of Real Estate and Toby and SADIE Boyce of Sadie’s Take on Delaware Ohio were there. Teri Lussier of TheBrickRanch was the one who came the longest disctance for the cook-out from Huber Heights Ohio.

Or I guess the boys on the bus are from NYC… so they came the longest distance to Columbus.

Was there anyone else there at the event that I missed?

Some bloggers who RSVP’d were no shows…. Oh well stuff comes up.

I will post more pictures, links later… Or a slide show would be good….

Blog Tour USA recaps with photos on ActiveRain Real Estate Network. ActiveRain is a sponsor of the BlogTour USA as is Real Living… (not Real Living HER… Real Living HER Worthington just hosted the Columbus event… thanks Tom Holcombe and RL- HER- WO, thanks Deb Simons, thanks Real Living Title, thanks Chicago Title)

Blog Tour USA in Columbus – one of these blogs has a great photo of Tina of The Green Buckeye talking to Rudy of BlogTour USA.

BlogTour USA was a big hit in Worthington

Change of venue. We’ve moved to Birmingham. Had to show them my little town.

I saw that on ActiveRain…. this morning.

The idea that BlogTour USA was headed to Ann Arbor generated conversation as anything about University of Michigan or Ann Arbor will generate conversation (jokes) in Columbus Ohio. Columbus to Birmingham MI is not as ironic as Columbus to Ann Arbor.

I look forward to seeing photos and video’s about their visit to your area.

I was there along with Fine Repast. Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay long to introduce myself. Had to get back to work. Although I did meet Tina from the Green Buckeye.

Go Blue ; )

Whoops, there was some grammatical errors above. It should be “we couldn’t stay long to introduce ourselves.” Oh well, I suppose I’ll now get some Michigan jokes. Sigh.

My friend Andy publishes the Fine Repast by the way.

Maureen, they did come to Birmingham. But, there was lots of OSU vs UM talk and we did sing Hail to The Victors.

Thanks so so much Maureen for putting the Columbus event wheels in motion. And a big thank you to Bill, Tom, Kelly and Real Living for supporting the Tour and encouraging the blogging art. Thanks to all the bloggers and bloggers-to-be who attended.

Thank YOU Joe and Rudy for making Columbus a stop on the tour.

I need to thank Tom, Bill, Kelly, Deb Simons, Kelly Kinzer, Chelsea Hamilton and all the people at Real Living HER, Real Living Title, Chicago Title for making it happen.

Missy the BlogTour USA guys probably said “those people in Columbus all they talk about in July is the Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes, Buckeyes and the Michigan obsession. They’re nuts…”

Alvin of ‘The 270′ I am so disappointed I did not get to meet you. They locked me up inside and made me blog during the event. I came down and got to meet Tina and a few other people and talk to them for just a real short time. Actually my manager wanted me to blog outside in front of everyone but I was too nervous.

I missed so much I hope to someday see the video of what I missed… Elaine and Toby sang? They are so brave! What did they sing?

I wish I could have met you and Andy of ‘Fine Repast.’

Grammatical errors are the spice of life on my blogs.

“Go Blue?” Are you from MI? Go to U of M? You could have stowed away on the bus and gone to Birmngham to sing “Hail to the Victors.”

I’m a Columbus native and Michigan grad. : ) I’d love to see the video from the Birmingham tour stop.

11 MaureenMcCabe July 15, 2007 at 09:11 am

Friday (?) they posted video from NYC… the start of the tour, so it may be a couple of weeks (?) for them to reach the midwest… Ohio, the Detroit metro area…. today the bus is in Chicago… tomorrow the Twin Cities, then off to Denver and points west… They could milk this Blog Tour USA thing through Halloween….

Not just an Ohio native but a Columbus native who went to Michigan! WOW!

Maureen — Looks like you had a very successful event! Congratulations! Again thanks for making sure I was part of it in Orlando!

13 MaureenMcCabe July 16, 2007 at 01:44 am

Thanks Colleen, I am glad you were available to meet with Joe and Rudy.

I like what you do here for Columbus and real estate – and you have fun. Congrats.

Art (what happens if someone addresses you as “Mo?”)

Thanks, it is fun.

I answer to Mo but not to Moe.
