Maybe I will…

by Maureen McCabe on May 2, 2011

Maybe I will try NaBloPoMo in May…  I tried last June… no maybe it was May?  Whatever month it was I  dropped out on the second day? I may not have said I was even going to try… I did NaBloPoMo once, long ago.  I can tell by my photo on the site it was probably 2007, maybe even 2006 .

The problem is this blog is about Columbus not me… and I have waaay too many blogs started to start another blog.  And I have no desire for a personal blog.

NaBloPoMo May 2011

Maybe 2011

The NaBloPoMo prompt for today is : “What is/was your favourite subject in school?”

The NaBloPoMo site says: “Post something every day for a month. That’s all you have to do.”

Maybe I will ignore the prompts for NaBloPoMo.   Just post a blog post a day on  My Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit came up yesterday… I pre-wrote that because I was going to be out of town Saturday night and Sunday morning.  I was not sure I would be able to post at the first minute of the first of the month of May.  The time when this blog always says  “Rabbit, Rabbit, Rabbit” for good luck.

Favorite (or Favourite)  subject in school… That was long ago and far away and my favorite changed year to year.  I thought I wanted to be a scientist because of an attraction to beakers, bunsen burners and test tubes but that went away long before college… actually it went away before high school.  I took biology and chemistry in high school but did not take physics.  In college I got a bachelor of science degree by taking about every intro to science class available…  botany, chemistry, zoology… one of my favorite science classes in  would have been meteorology.   I preferred social sciences.  I thought before I took it that I would like psychology… but ‘Psych 101′  turned me off and I took more sociology classes than psychology for the rest of my time in college.  I took a political science class in high school and loved it.   First semester of freshman year at college I wanted to take a history class but it was all the way across campus (the University of Wisconsin)  so I took a political science class that was way too hard for me.

I stay away  from politics today.  Today, May 2, 2011 is an interesting day with the news last night that  Osama Bin Laden is dead.  Lots of politics.  My favorite subjects were art and history.  I would rather look back at this time from the future.

Maybe I will do NaBloPoMo in May, or maybe I will not.   You will see.
