Tom Arbour, a blogger from central Ohio is featured today on a national nature blog site. Tom Arbour was interviewed by Nature Blog Network for Featured Blog: Ohio Nature Blog
Tom’s Ohio Nature Blog has such great photos and I always learn something when I read it. Ohio Nature Blog is on the blog roll here on ColumbusBestBlog.com
Here’s just a snippet from the interview the Nature Blog Network published today:
“‘I’ve been interested in nature as long as can I remember. I have a BA from Hiram College (that’s where hiramtom.blogspot.com came from) with a master’s degree in Environmental Sciences from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio). I’ve been working as a full time professional ecologist since 2003. I help keep track of Ohio’s rare plants and animals by doing field work and using Global Positioning Systems and Geographic Information Systems. I’m lucky to have found a full time, paying job that supports our family and lets me study natural history. Obviously, I can’t get enough nature, because I do the blog thing in my spare time.”
I always wondered what Tom’s real job was.
The Nature Blog Network is a blog but it is also has a “Toplist” of nature blogs, over 1000 blogs are on their “Toplist.” It’s broken down by types of nature blogs too.
#68 is the blogs rank among the Natural History blogs on the “Toplist” I believe.
Today it is 22nd? It is a well deserved feature.

Hi Maureen- Thank you very much! I hope you can make my upcoming nature photography visit at the McConnell Arts Center- Check out http://www.mcconnellarts.org/wp/archives/1492 for more information.
Make that “exhibit” instead of visit!
Maureen, Thanks so much for the mention of the Nature Blog Network and the feature on Ohio Nature Blog. It was such a treat to work with Tom on this!
